Data retention
Set how long audio, transcriptions, notes and reports are kept.
MedAssistant isn't your medical record: it's a work tool. Your patients' data stays there as long as needed, then is deleted automatically. The manager sets these periods in Organization › Data retention.

Rules
- Expired data is permanently deleted within 30 minutes.
- Shortening a period also applies to data already stored: a warning reminds you of this before you save.
- The transcription can't be kept longer than the note.
- Once the transcription is deleted, the note can no longer be regenerated.
- A Scribe note linked to a questionnaire or an agent report follows that report's period.
