Users
Invite members of your team, change their roles, remove them and limit their access hours.
Choose Users in the sidebar (Manager role). You can filter the list by last name, first name or email, and by role.
Add a user
Make sure a seat is free for the role you want, in Organization › Roles. If not, add one. See Roles and seats.
Choose Add user.
Enter the First name, Last name, Email and, if needed, the Professional title.
Check at least one role: Manager, Professional, Assistant or Tablet. Then add the user.
The person receives an email:
- if they don't have an account: Join [organization] on MedAssistant, with the Create my account button;
- if they already have an account: You have access to [organization], with the Log in button.
The right address
Access is tied to the address entered. The person must sign up or log in with that exact address. Send them Join an organization if in doubt.
- If all seats for a role are taken, a message invites you to add more in Organization › Roles.
- The Manager role gives access to the organization's saved payment method: give it only to the people who need it.
Edit a user
Click a person to open their profile.
- Information & Roles: name, title and roles. The email can't be changed. The organization's only manager can't lose that role.
- Access Hours: see below.
Remove a user
Remove user removes all their roles in the organization; confirm by typing their email. Access is cut off immediately. Their MedAssistant account isn't deleted, and their reports stay in the organization.
Removing a user doesn't reduce the number of billed seats: reduce them in Organization › Roles if you're not replacing the person.
The organization's only manager can't be removed: first give that role to someone else.
Access hours
Access hours limit when a person can use the Professional view and see patient information, for example to match the clinic's opening hours.
- In the person's profile, open Access Hours and choose Create Default Hours.
- Choose the time zone, then, for each day: No restriction, Time slots (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by default, editable) or Access denied.
- Turn on Enable access restrictions.
Outside their hours, the person sees the message Professional view outside your access hours. Delete All Access Hours removes the restriction.
