Scribe settings

Scribe settings are found in two places:

• Settings › Scribe: your permanent settings, valid on all your devices;
• the Scribe's gear icon, Scribe settings: settings for the current recording.

Default modeCopy Anchor Link

Auto, Fast or Thorough: the mode every recording starts in. It is saved as soon as you choose it. See Writing modes.

Transcription languageCopy Anchor Link

By default, Automatic detection recognizes the spoken language, even when the visit switches from one language to another. If your visits always take place in the same language, choose it (French, English or Spanish): the transcription will be more reliable.

In Scribe settings, Note language chooses the language the note is written in, Français or English, whatever language is spoken during the visit.

Identify speakersCopy Anchor Link

Identify speakers splits the transcript by person, which makes it easier to read. However, processing takes noticeably longer, without really improving the note: this setting is off by default.

Text at the end of notesCopy Anchor Link

Two texts that MedAssistant adds at the end of the note when you copy it:

• Added Text - With Patient Consent: when Consent obtained was turned on during the recording;
• Added Text - Without Patient Consent: in all other cases, for example for a dictation or an automatic summary.

Each text is 256 characters at most. An empty text adds nothing. The text does not appear in the review screen, only in what you paste. Until you change them, MedAssistant adds these:

• The form of your notes (concision, style, abbreviations, instructions) is set in your note preferences. The Note preferences link, at the bottom of Scribe settings, opens them in a new tab without interrupting the recording.
• The exams the Scribe inserts in the exam section are customized in templates.
