Exam templates
Customize the exams the Scribe inserts in the exam section of your notes.
Templates are standard exams ("Knee exam", "Shoulder exam", basic exam…) that the Scribe inserts in the exam section of the note when it recognizes, in the visit, that an exam was performed. It then adapts the template to what was observed.
An example
- The patient comes in for knee pain. During the exam, you palpate the knee and ask them to walk.
- You generate the note.
- The physical examination section contains the "Knee exam" from your templates, adjusted to your observations, for example a limp.
A simple mention of the reason for the visit, with no sign of an exam, does not trigger a template. You can also explicitly ask for a template during the recording.
Customize your templates
Open Settings › Templates. Each template in your organization expands to show its entries, with their type:
- Official: the entry provided by MedAssistant;
- Modified: an official entry you changed;
- Custom: an entry you added.
For each entry, you can:
- Edit its name and content, in French and in English (at least one language);
- turn it on or off;
- Move up or Move down;
- Restore original for a modified entry;
- Delete a custom entry.
Add creates a new entry. Preview shows the text the Scribe will use: all enabled entries, in their order.
Your changes only apply to you. They apply to the next notes; regenerate a note to benefit from them.
Templates and note preferences
The physical examination prefill setting, in your note preferences, determines how the Scribe fills in the manoeuvres that were not mentioned.
